Join CVCWT & DGERC staff for this D&G Wildlife Festival event, in a hunt to find and record the many different plants and animals found in and around the Park.

Meet at Blairmount Car Park in Newton Stewart (NX403657).

Bluebells & Birds at Camer

(Managed by CVCWT on behalf of FCS)  Guided walk through ancient semi-natural woodland.

Meet at High Camer picnic site on back road from Minnigaff to Bargrennan (NX366732).

Plants of the Glentrool Oakwoods

(Managed by CVCWT on behalf of FCS)  Discover ancient woodland plants and more in this mosaic of habitats.

Meet at Bruce's Stone car park.  On Girvan road, from Newton Stewart, turn right after bridge and follow signs to Glen Trool (NX415804).

Butterflies, Dragonflies & Birds, Glenhead Woods

(Managed by CVCWT on behalf of FCS).  Discover some of the species that use this mosaic of habitats.

Riverside Wildlife, Caldons

(Managed by CVCWT on behalf of FCS).  Search for Dippers and the secretive water vole.

Meet at Caldons car park.  On Girvan road, from Newton Stewart, turn right after bridge and follow signs to Glen Trool (NX397792).

Archaeology of Knockman Wood

(Managed by CVCWT on behalf of FCS).  Come along and discover medieval villages and ancient cairns, including the Corn Kiln.

Meet at Knockman Wood car park on the back road from Minnigaff to Bargrennan (NX410679).

Lichens & Fungi at Caldons

(Managed by CVCWT on behalf of FCS).  Guided walk through ancient oak woodlands.  Learn about and identify some of the many fascinating species.
